It provides notification controls and editing tools; eligible Pro users can use Live Draw and Facecam. Normal recording stays on-device, with no forced account or forced Vidorec watermark.

What to know before recording

  • Internal audio requires Android 10 or newer; the source app can block audio capture.
  • The microphone is optional. You can record silently: the screen is captured, the sound is not. You can also grant the permission later in Settings.
  • High resolution, frame rate and bitrate depend on the device encoder, storage and thermal conditions.
  • iOS uses ReplayKit and system recording controls. The App Store link will appear here when the iOS release is available.

Can Vidorec record device audio?

On supported devices running Android 10 or newer, device audio or a device-audio and microphone mix can be selected when the source app allows capture.

Is microphone permission required?

No. You can record silently or, where eligible, choose device audio only. Microphone permission is needed only when the microphone is used.

Are recordings uploaded to a server?

Normal recording and editing happen on-device. Optional online features have separate data behavior documented in the privacy policy.
