Stable quality beats an unstable maximum

Resolution controls image size, frame rate controls motion smoothness and bitrate controls how much data is available to describe each second. Raising all three increases encoder, storage and thermal load. A stable 720p or 1080p recording is more useful than a nominally higher setting that drops frames or fails to finalize.

Use automatic settings for the first test. If the game and recording remain smooth, raise one setting at a time. If the phone heats up, storage falls quickly or motion becomes uneven, step back before recording the full session.

Gameplay workflow

Enable device audio only when the game allows capture. Add microphone mixing for commentary and use headphones so game sound does not leak back into the microphone. Close heavy background tasks, clear private notifications and confirm that the recording indicator remains visible.

  • Run a ten-second test in the busiest part of the game.
  • Check motion, game sound and voice separately.
  • Keep enough free storage for the full session plus finalization.
  • Use landscape orientation before starting a landscape game.
  • Stop cleanly and verify the saved video before deleting source material.

Tutorial workflow

Prepare the path before recording: remove personal data, open the starting screen and write the three or four outcomes the viewer must learn. Slow, deliberate taps are easier to follow than rapid gestures. Live Draw and Facecam can add context when they are available for the platform and plan, but they should support the explanation rather than cover the interface.

After recording, remove dead time and mistakes. Vidorec's editor includes practical tools such as trim, merge, layers, filters and GIF export. Keep the original until the edited export has been opened and checked.

Privacy before publishing

A screen recording can reveal notifications, names, email addresses, photos, account balances or location even when the app itself does not upload the video. Use a demo account where possible, hide notifications and watch the entire export once before sharing it publicly.
